Grading
Shells are graded as follows:
GEM |
Shells without blemish or flaw, shells are adult and of average size. |
F+G |
Shells with a natural minor blemish or flaw that in no way detracts from the beauty of the specimen, shells are adult and average size. |
F++ |
Shells with a minor but noticeable blemish that dose not detract from the beauty of the specimen, shells are adult and average size. |
F+ |
Shells with growth lines and nacre blemishes. These shells display well and represent good value for the specie. |
FINE |
Shells with chip, juvenile or fresh dead. |
