Grading

Shells are graded as follows:

GEM
Shells without blemish or flaw, shells are adult and of average size.
F+G
Shells with a natural minor blemish or flaw that in no way detracts from the beauty of the specimen, shells are adult and average size.
F++
Shells with a minor but noticeable blemish that dose not detract from the beauty of the specimen, shells are adult and average size.
F+
Shells with growth lines and nacre blemishes. These shells display well and represent good value for the specie.
FINE
Shells with chip, juvenile or fresh dead.
